The internet products and services department is the main centre of new media expertise within sky, running a range of websites including Sky.com and Sky broadband.com, as well as a broad spectrum of online services across content sites such as Sky sports, Sky News, Sky Showbiz and Sky Movies.
The department also co-ordinates online / new media activity and third party relationships across all sky’s business and supports many aspects of the company’s business including acquisition sales, customer marketing, eCRM, broadband and mobile services and channel support.
Due to an expansion in the department’s responsibilities we are now looking to appoint an Internet Services Manager to oversee the collection, distribution and analysis of all online data, and manage relationships with 3rd party data providers. In addition, this individual will be responsible for developing and reporting department and business KPIs, and for managing and developing the company’s web contact strategy.
The Internet Service Manager’s responsibilities on a day to day basis will cover a wide range of areas including web analytics, email delivery, Sky’s single sign on platform and platform capacity planning,.
You will work with other departments within Sky to facilitate their use of web analytics, e-mail delivery and single sign on products. You will also carry out research on, and select, best in breed partners for executive reporting, sky network reporting, and development of the Sky dashboard
The right candidate will have a broad business knowledge of online marketing and technical awareness. They will have strong organisational and project management skills, coupled with previous experience of marketing led business projects. It would be an advantage if you have a good working knowledge of web technology from a business/marketing perspective as would specific consumer web analytics or ISP experience. A degree or equivalent would also be required.
