Your role as the Internet Product Development Manager is to drive forward, plan and deliver the product development of the Sky websites. You will be a key part of the Internet Products and Services team and work with product managers and stakeholders to define the online consumer proposition.

You will manage the user experience definition and delivery of world class, online products and features that meet the business and consumer needs. You will also be responsible for project managing the information architecture and design phases, and will work hand in hand with the technical team for site implementation. You will champion customer experience, best practices (usability, accessibility, SEO) and be a source of expertise that will enhance the product.

You will take specific responsibility for:

- Delivering the long term vision and business objectives for the Sky online products, which will involve researching customer behaviour and conducting competitive analysis
- Exploring new concepts and innovations to develop the Sky websites and maximise the online channel to market.
- Recommending website enhancements and features which will help achieve the business objectives and meet customer requirements. This will then enable you to capture requirements and produce specifications for design and technical teams to work from
- Project managing the user interface specification and design deliverables
- Liaising with other teams, namely the technical team to ensure the product is built to specification
- Providing the main point of contact for product development and to provide regular updates on the progress of projects. You will then develop specialist knowledge of website products and online technologies in order to advise on product enhancements, best practice and effective implementation
- This function has a duty to assist in the maintenance of the appropriate corporate health and safety management structures, to achieve legislative compliance and to secure the operational management of health and safety within the company as a whole and within the post holder’s primary area of responsibility

What you will bring to Sky

As the ideal candidate, you will have substantial experience in a new media environment. Strong people management and influencing skills are key for this role, as are a logical and analytical approach to problem solving. It is essential that you have the ability to project manage different projects at the same time and can troubleshoot when required, and have the ability to move between looking at the big picture and a focus on detail. You will also have an understanding of the technical issues associated with web product, and be proficient in MS Word/ Excel/ Project/ Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop/Visio.
