TV3, Catalonia’s Television – Formula 1

This application is launched with the Formula 1 World Championship, for which Television de Catalonia has the broadcasting rights. The launch of this application takes place on the Friday afternoon prior to the first F1 World Championship race. The application has two phases.

The first phase gives the viewer information about the track, the Great Prize, team and driver’s classification, the record for that particular track, previous year’s winners, weather forecast and the shape of the track. Once the qualifying is over, the viewer can also check how the grid is going to look.

The second phase will be used when the race is about to start. The viewer will be able to see the classification of all the cars and how many pit stops they have taken. On a separate screen the viewer will be able to read the highlights of the race. The Formula 1 fan will be able to know details of the race, some of which are not broadcast on TV. This second phase is designed in order to allow the viewer to see the information they want and not miss any of the race.
