 This interactive portal broadcast on Australian digital TV platform Austar can be called up in a semi-transparent half screen mode by hitting the OK button.
The service is an extension of content that can currently be found on the web - but offers a distinctive "Message Machine Nickerticker" and other news/info types of services.

A killer application (at least amongst Nickelodeon's core audience) is the ZAP button. Press green on the remote control and the screen goes crazy. That's all it does - but it was such a popular feature that kids constantly had their fingers on the green button. The solution - after each zap there is a pause of several seconds before the button is activated again!
The Bored Games section is also particularly innovative - one suggestion is to count how many times you fart during the day! Innovative stuff!
