The Broadband Bananas iTV Monitoring Centre
To support our aim of informing and networking the Broadband and Interactive Television industries, Broadband Bananas operates a broadcast and interactive television monitoring centre in the UK which provides a large proportion of the iTV services that you can see in our 'Video Vault' section.
Based
in the flat lands of East Anglia, our centre has a clear view of the satellite 'Clarke
Belt' from 70 degrees East through to 55 degrees West and monitors virtually all satellite
television and radio broadcasts from Europe, The Middle East and Africa across C and Ku
Bands.

We operate two large motorised antennas plus a series of fixed multifeed dishes to ensure 24/24 reception of the major networks.

In addition to the videos carried on this web site, Broadband Bananas also maintains a tape and disk based 'broadcast quality' archive of interactive services and other materials relevant to the interactive TV industry dating back to 1999.

Broadcast Montoring Services
Broadband Bananas is able to
provide professional quality recordings of interactive services and TV programming from
any broadcaster accessible by our monitoring centre.
Because we operate a fully digital monitoring service, recordings can be delivered
digitally via FTP within a matter of hours in DVD quality MPEG-2 or Windows Media Formats.
Alternatively recordings can be supplied via traditional mail, Fedex or UPS on Mini-DV or VHS formats. (625 Line PAL Standard).
